Dr. Hiroyuki Sakai of Microbe Division (JCM) has won two Poster Awards in the 15th International Congress on Thermophiles.

On September 5th 2019, Dr. Hiroyuki Sakai, Visiting Researcher in the Microbe Division/Japan Collection of Microorganisms (JCM), has won two Poster Awards in the 15th International Congress on Thermophiles for his poster "Experimental evidence of symbiotic lifestyle of a thermophilic ARMAN related archaeon (‘Candidatus Micrarchaeota’) on various Sulfolobales species".

He was selected by the jury as the laureate out of 95 poster presenters, based on the quality and originality of the work and clarity of the poster presentation.
