Genetic analysis identifies proteins controlling sleep in mice (published on Nature) (PDF)

The Japan Mouse Clinic Team and University of Tsukuba WPI-IIIS group (Drs. Funato and Yanagisawa) identified novel two mutations that affect sleep/wakefulness in mice, using genetic screening approach (ENU mutagenesis).
This landmark paper will be published on 14 November 2016 issue of Nature (published online on 02 November 2016).
This breakthrough is widely expected to pave a new path for elucidating molecular networks that control sleep/wakefulness behavior.
