Technical Training Courses at RIKEN BRC on How to Use State-of-the-Art Bioresources

We are pleased to announce annual technical training courses to provide our users with laboratory skills for handling our bioresources.

We welcome researchers, students and technicians of relevant backgrounds from academia, governments, and industries. (*)
(*)Some courses are open only to qualified applicants.

* The same content will be presented on each day.
* The application must reach us no later than above each deadline.
* We may stop accepting applications earlier when the number of applicants reaches our maximum capacity.

Application procedures

  • Application forms must be submitted
    Please download, fill out and submit the application form with the following information typed in free style on a separate paper, to the secretariat (see below).
    (1)Reason for application
    (2)Resume on your research activity
    (3)Your current job (or, your current research activity)
    *Descriptions on the items (2) and (3) can be combined into one item.
  • Deadline for application
    We may stop accepting applications before deadline depending on the number of applicants.
  • Applicants will be notified of acceptable or deferral
    2 to 4 weeks before the scheduled training date
    Selected applicants will receive necessary documents including agreement form, quotation and bill for tuition fee, and general guidance regarding training.
  • Payments of tuition fee will be made
    2 weeks before the scheduled training date
    Please transfer tuition fee to our bank account by designated date.
  • The training course will commence

Notes

  1. Depending on the content of the training course, you may be required to take educational training (e-learning) conducted by RIKEN Tsukuba Branch Safety Center in advance.
  2. Japanese college and university students are requested to join “Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research” before participating in our training courses.
  3. Personal information obtained from participants will be used only for the purpose of the various procedures of the training program.
